Acrocomia Panamensis
Bailey.
Prickley palm (E); Coyai (CR); Palma de vino (P); Pacora (P). The seeds are a source of oil, relished by cattle. Sweet sap of this and related species are used to make wine. Root of A. mexicana is regarded as a cure for diabetes.
